Thursday July 13 to Saturday 15: Rotaryfest: The Sault's Summer Festival. The Festival Location is in Clergue Park. 12 to 10 on Thusday and Friday and 12 to 11 on Saturday. The Parade takes place on Saturday, July 15 at 11:00. It goes East down Queen Street from Simpson Street. to Gore Street. This years theme is The Land of Make Believe. Last year about 15,000 people lined the parade route so come early. Marching bands are well featured. Saturday, July 15 Wheels On The Water Car Show from noon to 5:00 pm at the Civic Centre north. This year it is possible to sell your car. There is a modest entry fee for each car on show with generous prizes. The main festival now has two stages. primarily featuring local musical entertainment The two woman aerial duo called High Strung perform in Clergue Park north, while the circus artist Pete Sweet also performs in Clergue Park. The Second Stage features local songwriters and groups performing original music that has been written in Sault Ste. Marie. PlayZone is where you can paint and ride ponies, Homeniuk carnival rides are at the old A.B. McLean site. Saturday 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm: the Soap Box Derby is held at the Civic Centre. The water floor is in Clergue Park while Giant Chess is played in Clergue Park South Rotary food court is in Clergue Park North High Strung, the two woman aerial dance team performs each evening.
